Managing Health at School

Student health and safety is a priority at EGESC. Families are asked to keep the school updated about their child’s medical needs, medication and health plans so we can provide safe support during the school day.

Please notify the school if your child has:

  • A medical condition
  • Allergies or anaphylaxis
  • Asthma
  • Epilepsy or seizures
  • Diabetes
  • Medication that needs to be taken at school
  • Changes to their health, medication or care needs

Please contact the school if you would like to discuss your child’s medical or medication needs.

Medication at School

If your child needs to take medication during school hours, families must provide the medication to the Administration Office.

Medication must be:

  • In the original packaging
  • Clearly labelled with the student’s name
  • Accompanied by FORM 3 – ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION
  • Within the expiry date

Students should not keep medication in their school bag unless this has been discussed and approved by the school.
