Mathematics

At EGESC, our Mathematics program focuses on developing students’ functional numeracy, mathematical understanding and confidence to apply skills in everyday contexts.

Instruction is aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and ABLEWA progression points, and teachers use the Top Ten Maths program to provide a structured, hands-on approach to mathematics teaching. Concepts are sequenced to build from foundational number understanding to more complex skills, with regular opportunities for consolidation, daily review and real-world application. Teaching is differentiated to support individual goals outlined in students’ Individual Education Plans.

Our focus is to support students to develop numeracy skills that promote independence, participation and confidence across school, home and community settings.
